Cathy Heck and Julianna Larsen are the mother-daughter team behind Mej Mej. Julianna grew up in her mother's studio watching Cathy work as an illustrator for over 30 years. Together, they founded Mej Mej to help families create joyful, beautiful spaces with their original designs. From watercolor and block prints to digital art, their work is filled with playfulness and warmth. Cathy’s husband, Jim, and Julianna’s husband, Anton, complete the team, all sharing a passion for bringing exceptional, high-quality designs to families around the world.

Our decals work for every wall from flat to cinderblock, but if you are unsure or have unusually textured walls, we can send you our free Stickiness-Sample Kit. It includes 3 different adhesive fabrics, each of which is a little ‘stickier’ than the other. (All 3 are still repositionable and won’t leave any residue!) You can try each one and let us know which one works best for your walls. You can order the free Stickiness Sample Kit here.

U.S. orders are shipped via UPS unless unavailable in your area. Your decals will arrive within 1-5 business days after processing, ready for the big install! Need them faster for a big birthday reveal? Expedited service is available at an additional charge.
International shipments are shipped through UPS or DHL and usually take 4-7 days for delivery. All VAT taxes and fees will be included and paid in full at checkout. No surprise fees upon arrival.

We have found through testing over time, that our fabric decals can simply be peeled from the wall no matter how long they have been installed. Absolutely no sticky residue will be left, so you can simply dust your wall and start a fun new room redux! Or, you can place the decals back onto their original backing and take them to your new home. If you no longer have the backing, reach out to us for some fresh backing. In a rush? Just place your decals on the slick side of butcher paper or parchment paper and they can travel with you to your new adventure.
