Have you noticed the fruit & veggie decor trend on everything lately? From high-end textiles to tiny tomato rattles, vibrant produce has moved beyond the kitchen and straight into kids’ rooms. We’ve rounded up 10 of our favorite finds from other shops to help you build your own Mej Mej Farmers Market-inspired space. Read on for some fresh picks.
Why Is Produce Popping Up in Home Decor?
This trend isn't just cute—it’s cultural. From fashion runways to baby onesies, fruits and veggies are sprouting up everywhere. Even AP News recently called it out, noting that some call the movement “Farmstand Chic.” Some say it began with the viral TikTok fruit bench—but we think there’s something deeper going on.

In today’s fast-paced world, many families are craving a little bit of yesterday—gardening, cooking and a return to simple pleasures. What better way to bring that into your home than with patterned pears, cheerful carrots, and nostalgic strawberries?

10 Fruit & Veggie Decor Trend Favorites to Pair with Our Removable Fabric Wall Decals
P.S. Our wall decals are completely removable—so if your little one loves apples today but switches to oranges next month, no problem! You can always swap them out. (Pro tip: Save the apples—you never know when they’ll be back on the menu.) 😉
And now, here are 10 more delicious designs to explore.
No sponsors here—just items we truly love!
1 • WEST ELM KIDS WOODEN SHOPPING CART
We bought this adorable and satisfying cart for our two little grandsons. It’s just the right size and we filled it with felt fruits and wooden cutlery—then they added some balls, trucks, and cars 😉 and I even found a few studio tools in there (which I quickly rescued to a higher shelf).

2 • POTTERY BARN KIDS
RIFLE PAPER CO STORYBOOK ORGANIC CRIB SHEET
Who doesn’t love Rifle Paper Co? This sheet blends beautifully with our Farmers Market fabric wall decals. Plus, multi-colored prints are great for hiding dribbles. Cute and practical! Win-win!

3 • MAISONETTE LITTLE HELPER FARMERS MARKET STAND BY TEAMSON KIDS
“Let’s play pretend!” was a phrase that I said all the time growing up—and now I get to watch our grandkids do the same. My favorite make-believe game was shopkeeper, using an old adding machine my mom gave me to tally up my brother and sister's purchases. If I'd had this market stand, I’m certain I would have been the most successful shop on the sidewalk! ;-)
4 • IN2GREEN BABY PICNIC BLANKET
Is it a blanket? A throw? A playmat? Yes, yes, and yes. We love this modern fruit and veggie pattern. Toss it stylishly on the end of a crib or use it for floor play. Bonus: it comes in a few different colorways!
5 • SMALLABLE APPLE STORAGE BASKET BY LORENA CANALS
You can never have too many storage baskets. And when one looks this good? Score! This rich red apple basket adds a juicy pop of color while holding books, plush toys, or blocks. Maybe even those cute felt veggies from the shopping cart above (when they have been swapped out for trucks).
6 • WINTER WATER FACTORY
ROOT VEGETABLES FITTED CRIB SHEET
Winter Water Factory is a favorite in our family. Their jammies are top-notch—thick, soft, and heirloom quality. We pass them around from cousin to cousin. So when we saw this veggie crib sheet, we had to include it. My first thought was “Now that will be one super soft sheet." No princess-and-the-pea problems with this adorable find.
7 • PROJECT NURSERY FARMERS MARKET TOTE
We love Project Nursery for design ideas and clever finds. This sweet market tote is perfect for pretend shopping—or to take along to the real farmers market. It fits right in with our wall decal theme, and looks great hung from a bedpost as a stylish accent between uses.
8 • ANTHROPOLOGIE GOOBER CRAYON FARM
We love all things Anthropologie for ourselves, so imagine how we feel about their kids’ section! These crayons are part art supply, part fine art. They’re perfect for gifting—or displaying. I may need two: one to use and one to admire in my own playroom. 😉
9 • ETSY RAINBOW HAPPINESS SHOP CROCHETED FRUIT & VEGGIE BABY MOBILE
We’re always on the lookout for handmade nursery treasures. This one checks all the boxes—bright colors for baby, stylish design for grown-ups, and a perfect fit for the fruit and veggie theme. Wouldn’t it be fun to wake up to a tiny radish wishing you good morning?

10 • BLABLA
CHERRIES FRUIT RATTLE
Ah, Bla Bla. Julianna and I are longtime superfans. When we saw their cherry, pear, and apple rattles, we couldn’t resist. Our newest studio baby was born in February, so we had a good excuse to add to our delicious (and healthy) collection.
And One to Grow On: Mej Mej Market Bag Paper Prints
Bonus accessory #11: We created these cheerful prints to coordinate with our decals. They look especially fresh on a light wall—or try a celadon background for a pop of natural green. One of our favorite styling tricks: hang them layered over a wall of our single-fruit-or-veggie decals to create a custom faux wallpaper look (without the commitment!).
